JOB CONTENT:
Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement of all processes and reduction of waste through the implementation and maintenance of Lean techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in Super Service Center: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Provide Industrial Engineering support to the manufacturing team in areas of task time development, scrap factor calculations and product cost analysis
• Perform time studies, work sampling studies, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness reports for management analysis
• Maintains Bills of Material based on the most current engineering specifications, drawings, and test requirements data
• Analyses present and forecasted manufacturing capacities and capabilities, through work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Prepares capital equipment requests for long-term continuous improvement and sustainable cost reduction
• Oversees capital equipment project implementation for new and existing products up through serial production and validation of actual cost
• Implement and maintain process and building maintenance program
• Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesion
• Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
• Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts, and assess cost and responsibility
