Field Service Engineer - John Crane
The Senior / Field Service Engineer will provide
1. On-site (in the field) service to our external customers. This includes mechanical seals (wet / DGS) product troubleshooting, failure diagnosis, seal removal activities together with / supervising customer personnel, on-site inspections with preliminary report composition, seal installation activities including equipment (pump/compressors) commissioning, alignment, system checks and start up.
2. Day-to-day assistance in service centers in Caspian region (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan) – seal repairs, seal failure analysis with report composition, maintenance of shop equipment
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions, meeting with customers in plant or at customer’s site to resolve satisfactorily
• Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution
• Detailed technical presentations to customers in order to support sales or drive root cause analysis exercises
• Manage and report personal workload, forecast job lead-times to meet customer and departmental objectives
• Visit customer sites for technical measurement, seal installation and commissioning
• Work in line with John Crane standards, procedures and policies
• In addition, when not engaged in field activities, the Field Service Engineer will carry out the office based duties defined for Applications Engineer (Non-Turbo)
