Manufacturing Project Engineer Mechanical or Electrical
The Role
As the MPE, you will be the appointed single point of contact for Manufacturing for their allocated project(s). He/She will be responsible for the identification, management and delivery of all Manufacturing tasks and deliverables for/on their allocated project(s), from support to tender through to delivery to the customer.
Key Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited Too
Ownership and control of all Manufacturing activities associated with their specific project(s), including planning and management of Manufacturing resources to ensure on-time delivery to cost and quality
Development and execution of the manufacturing plan
Ensure Manufacturing activities are delivered in compliance with BP3.4 and associated working practices
Promote safe systems of work throughout the project lifecycle and facility operations
Support to tendering to include forecasting of resources, costs and timescales for project delivery
Support to make-buy assessments throughout the project lifecycle, supporting ANES business strategy
Support to the Project Manager including project reporting for Manufacturing scope
Represent Manufacturing in internal progress meetings and customer facing meeting
Liaise with the Manufacturing Production team and Supply Chain to understand manufacturing process capability
Input to Design for Manufacture activities during design development, including support and attendance at Design Reviews
Development of product method of manufacture, including identification of jigs, fixture and tooling required for production and test
Manufacturing acceptance of the definitive design, demonstrating the design can be manufactured, assembled, inspected, tested etc
Production and maintenance of mile long parts lists, upkeep of IBS data, production of route cards, production of MITP and/or Manufacturing Quality Plan, and Manufacturing Part Definition, including sketches and electronic data files
Support stakeholder functions in the production of procurement specifications, NDT procedures, weld procedures, weld maps, test specifications, and inspection and quality requirements
Expedite parts through production, test and commissioning, inspection and despatch as required
Take the lead in the resolution of Manufacturing issues and concessions
Feed the LTQR team with records and documents collated/developed during the product lifecycle
Identification of contract variations and as appropriate, and communication to the Project Manager
Develop effective communications and relationships within the manufacturing team
Support the business Continuous Sustainable Improvement Plans (CSIP) as required
