Reservoir Engineer - Kuwait Energy Iraq Limited
POSITION OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE
Whilst working in an integrated petroleum engineering team, develop and maintain simulation and other reservoir engineering models as part of field development planning and well and reservoir management. Instrumental member of the well and reservoir management team, planning and implementing surveillance programs to optimise the reservoirs performance and maximise production.
Kuwait Energy has two producing fields in Iraq and is looking for committed and can-do reservoir engineer in the Well and Reservoir Management teams for the Siba and Block 9 assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY
• Lead the development, maintenance and history matching of fit-for-purpose dynamic reservoir simulation and other reservoir engineering models.
• Utilise classical reservoir engineering techniques such as material balance and decline curves as appropriate to support the model.
• Provide input into Field Development Plans (e.g. predicted production profiles, well count, data acquisition plans etc.).
• Assess opportunities for future infill wells, workovers and near-field exploration targets and contribute to well proposals and AFEs as appropriate
• Plan for and analyse well test data.
• Plan, monitor and analyse surveillance campaigns and work as an integrated team member with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers to monitor field performance and optimize production
• Identify fit for purpose and cost-effective new technology and potential applications and drive implementation.
• Build and maintain industry wide networks to enhance knowledge
