VOIP NOC Engineer
- Responsible for supporting company's Voice platforms operation in alignment with the policies and procedures set by the Head of Voice Operations & Services Unit.
- Responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient Voice Services.
- Monitors networks and nodes, create and respond to tickets, troubleshoot, solve and report any operational issue.
- Provide Level 1 support for Voice network daily operational activities covering network monitoring, TDM and VoIP carrier provisioning, interop testing, call quality testing, routing changes, rates changes, quality metrics report generation, troubleshooting and complaint analysis.
- Monitor performance and availability.
- Conduct Interop testing, turn-up of carrier SIP and TDM trunks.
- Implement carrier routing changes.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors and operators support channels, reporting and managing faults.
- Apply and audit security vulnerabilities of VoIP components.
- Ensure that performance and functionality is delivered to meet required outcomes and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance to Service Level Agreements.
- Address operational voice issues.
- Provide status reporting and improvement recommendations.
- Test new technologies and new potential services and provide feedback on them.
- Have an up-to-date knowledge of the Telecom market trends.
- Undertake any other duties that may be requested by the Direct Manager.
