Cost Engineer / Estimator
• B.Sc. Eng or equivalent in Mechanical/Civil engineering discipline from a recognized university • Proficiency in English Language (Speak, Read and Write)
• Understand and follow plant safety standards and procedures.
• Able to write and express complex ideas, instructions and procedures.
Job Requirements (but not limited to)
• Review the project scope, drawings & specification to develop the estimate basis.
• Survey the site, quantify the project scope and prepare bill of material.
• Liaise with project engineer in order to convert specifications/quantities to cost estimates for new project. • Identify the fixed & variable cost elements and define appropriate factors for variable costs determination.
• Assist to build the price schedule for contracting process.
• Build WBS structure in SAP project structure module as per project requirement.
• Conduct special studies to develop standard hour and related cost data to establish effective norms. • Review the engineering and construction service proposals and validate the proposals alignment with original project scope.
• Analyze and evaluate cost effectiveness of all services and contracts.
• Establish Actual Vs Estimate cost matrix to analyze the variations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
