Senior Site Electrical Engineer - Bahrain -HR-1029 - PACE
OPERATIONAL
► Conduct supervision responsibilities in adherence to guidelines as indicated in the PACE Supervision Manual; ensure that supervision guidelines are being adhered to by site electrical engineers at all times
► Assist the Resident Engineer in the selection and approval of sub-contractors for electrical systems in coordination with the owner’s/client’s representative
► Review all shop/ composite drawings, material and samples submitted by the contractors to ensure compliance with technical specifications and ministerial requirements
► Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc); inform the Resident Engineer of any discrepancies identified against contract documents and make recommendations to the Resident Engineer as appropriate
► Study the contractor’s CCS schedule thoroughly (e.g. shop drawing submittal log, procurement schedule, and material submittal log etc.) prior to its approval by the Resident Engineer
► Inspect all procured electrical components and materials and ensure that material on site are being
► adequately stored and protected prior to their installation
► Check all sample electrical components and materials submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and technical specifications
► Supervise the installations of electrical systems on a daily/regular basis to ensure quality control and compliance with contract documents and approved material and shop drawings
► Ensure that non compliance to the CCS is communicated to the Resident Engineer on a timely basis in order to avoid any delays in construction
► Remain abreast on changes in local ministerial requirements regarding electric systems; ensure that any changes are updated in the specifications of electrical components/materials etc
► Contribute to managing the health and safety of all on-site personnel; report any observed safety violations to the Resident Engineer and/or Safety Inspector (if available)
► Attend meetings (e.g. progress meetings, coordination and specially called meetings etc.) as and when required
► Assist Sr. Quantity Surveyors in preparing progress reports and in verifying costs related to electrical system installations in order to finalize monthly payment certificates
► Lead snagging procedure to check electrical systems after substantial completion of construction activities have ended; ensure that a snag list is prepared based on outstanding works and submit to the Resident Engineer for approval
► Review all as-built drawings provided by contractors prior to their submittal to local ministries for approval
► Review all operation, instruction and maintenance manuals provided by contractors prior to handing over the development to the owner/client
