Senior Legal Adviser - Finance
The role would suit a corporate finance or project finance lawyer with significant front line contractual experience, ideally in either an upstream oil and gas operator or in private practice advising such clients.
Advising on structuring of loan arrangements in organisations with multiple debt facilities with different ranking claims on the borrower, inter-creditor arrangements, and secured by asset pledges and cross guarantees within the lender group
Strong negotiator/drafter of terms of a range of different types of facilities, both publicly and privately traded. Experience of reserve based lending and oil and gas industry project financing essential
Strong awareness of usual range of market terms for borrowing facilities.
The person will support the business in both an advisory capacity for existing loan facilities, and leading legal services for design and execution of new facilities
Key Accountabilities
Support Group Legal and Group Finance to design, execute and provide life of contract support for corporate financing solutions
Support BU Legal teams, providing legal services to design, execute and provide life of contract support for project financing solutions (integrating with other BU functions)
