Job Summary
Works under the direction of Mechanical or Electrical or Instrumentation Technician / Supervisor, to execute all Preventive, Corrective and Condition based maintenance activities, annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment with strict adherence to safety.
Roles & Responsibilities
1 Responsible for ensuring the duties of their position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner under the direction of the respective Technician/supervisor. Comply with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
2 Perform all the maintenance activities in the plant in a timely and safe manner with strict adherence to work instructions applicable for the respective activities under the direction and close supervision of respective technician or Supervisor.
3 Ability to understand and use common measuring devices such as Vernier calipers, micrometers; dial indicators, multi meter, voltmeters, ammeters etc. to perform maintenance tasks as well as Knowledge of Tools and its application.
4 Ensure proper isolations are carried out before starting the maintenance activity on the respective equipment released for maintenance under the direction of respective technician / Supervisor and local operator.
5 Help the technician to trouble-shoot and diagnose problems during the maintenance on equipment under his jurisdiction.
6 Ensure necessary Preparations are carried out to carry out maintenance to equipment/area assigned to him.
7 Understand working knowledge of equipment operation.
8 Perform 5S housekeeping in his area of work.
9 Perform other duties as assigned.
