Retail Logistics Manager - Merchandise Control - Home Centre
The Territory Retail Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring great customer experience in all store based channels by ensuring a consistent high availability of our offer, with high quality and at lowest possible total costs. The job holder will be strongly committed to the Home Centre and Supply Chain Strategy and the Territory Business/ Action Plan.
Customer
- Responsible for effective Range management in accordance with the Store size (S/M/L) with specific focus on K Lines to ensure availability of our offer to our customers
- Responsible for maximizing the availability of stock in the stores at the lowest possible cost through collaboration with the Territory commercial team
- Responsible for ensuring stock availability in line with the commercial calendar / activities planned for the stores
- Work with Store Logistics team to ensure adherence to defined SKU levels, stock density and appropriate stock structure through accurate forecasting
- Secure the store capacity and store dimensioning requirements for all stores by ensuring that the logistics prerequisites are secured in the design process and integrated into the expansion plan
- Implement the Strategy for Retail Logistics in the dedicated Territory
Commercial Performance
- Support the store in planning effective and efficient goods flow, supply and merchandising operations in collaboration with the commercial partners to ensure a smooth goods flow to the store while providing high service levels to our customers
- Responsible for the implementation and adherence of min max system and maintenance in all stores in the assigned territory as per the company guidelines
- Prepare the store range frame in coordination with area managers and central planning and ensure adherence
- Review and monitor daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and analysis reports on various measurable factors against benchmarked figures (e.g. reports relating to stock levels, stock ageing, top sellers, service levels with regards to stock availability, volume turnover, etc.) and all Retail Logistics related costs.
- Track performance, analyze stock development, inventory management process and variances, explore problem areas and utilize them for continuous improvement and make appropriate recommendations to the Store Merchandising Team
- Ensure that the Retail Logistics contributes to maximizing growth and profitability through active participation in creation of the Territory action plan and converting it into clear logistics actions and goals
- Focus on controlling logistics costs through initiation of appropriate actions thereby contributing to the total value chain results
- Reduced unusable inventory in the dedicated Territory in coordination with the Territory Quality Team
People
<ul>
Lead and inspire the Territory Retail Logistics Team and ensure succession planning for key roles in the team
Responsible for Performance Management of Logistics team through timely KPI setting, mid-year and annual performance reviews
Set clear goals and expectations (such as logistics costs and local retail and supply strategies) to deliver on the territory business plan while also ensuring alignment to the overall Home Centre business plan objectives
Create a training calendar and ensure L&D offerings are provided to the Logistics staff at the appropriate level in line with personal development plans including on the job coaching, classroom training, in-store training and feedback sessions aligned to Home Centre processes
Develop the Store Logistics Team for all Stores in the Territory based on strategy for Retail Logistics & ensure seamless induction and on boarding of
