Compliance Manager (Saudi National) - Change Actions
Responsibilities
- Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Manages day-to-day operation of the Program.
- Manage the Compliance function by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines as part of an overall Compliance Management System in alignment with the company's vision and corporate strategy
- Lead the process for continual identification and assessment of compliance risks across the company and the development and implementation of appropriate action plans.
- Ensure that all management and employees are in compliance with the applicable standards (internal and external).
- Develop and periodically review and update Standards of Conduct in providing guidance to management and employees.
- Collaborate with all other departments (Operations, Internal Audit, HR, Legal, etc.) to direct compliance issues for investigation and resolution.
- Respond to violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
- Develop and oversee a system for uniform handling of such violations.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; also develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar future situations
- Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Company Compliance Committee of the Board and senior management informed of the operation of compliance efforts.
- Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
- Work with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
- Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and relate activities on a continuing basis, and maintain effectiveness.
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures; complying with legal requirements.
- Protect assets by establishing compliance standards; anticipating emerging compliance trends; designing improvements to internal control structure.
